""After Death Mind Makes You"

There are laws that govern the survival of death. There are many different experiences that can (potentially) follow getting up in the morning. So also with death. What determines the experience? The experience is determined by what you have inherited in the deeper unconscious being as a result of your action (during those phases of your existence when you had the capability of bodily action). As I have said: While you are alive, you make mind--and, after you die, mind makes you.

By your action all the while--even now--you are putting things (so to speak) into the unconscious, the deeper personality, which is outside the grossly-orientated brain. You are enforcing and reinforcing patterns. You are patterning the deeper personality. You are (in some sense) indulging in what is there in the unconscious, but you are also adding to it. And, throughout your life, the unconscious is (in most cases) just that--unconscious. That is why you wonder whether you survive death--because you are not aware of the greater part.

When you die, the waking consciousness falls off, the physical falls off--and what was unconscious before (which is outside the grossly-oriented brain) is now who you are and where you are. It is a place. It is the mind-realm. This is what follows life. Death is by no means simply a doorway to heaven. What is on your mind now, when you lose physical attention? What kinds of thoughts do you have, what kinds of dreams do you have, what kinds of fears do you have? Whatever they are, they will make your experience after death. While you are alive, you have physical concentration and a brain that locks you away from the so-called unconscious. You have an opportunity while alive to purify yourself, but what is to be purified is outside the brain. You think it does not even exist--so you just indulge yourself in physical life, as if the physical exists for its own sake. The physical is not there for its own sake. It is there to help you purify the deeper being, the deeper personality--to the point where you can be Gracefully Awakened to That Which Transcends even the deeper personality. By your action all the while--even now--you are putting things (so to speak) into the unconscious, the deeper personality, which is outside the grossly-orientated brain. Swami Bramhanand saraswathiji on "Invincibility"

I t is said that in September 1945, when the Second World War was over, newspaper reporters wanted to know the reaction of Shankaracharya Swami Brahmananda Saraswati, Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath (Guru Dev). Allegedly he gave them the following statement, parts of which match other published quotations of Guru Dev:-

'Real victory is that, after which there can never be a reverse. Nobody can call himself a victor forever merely by crushing an external foe, because such foes can spring up again. A real victory is achieved by bringing under control the internal foes. A check over the internal enemies is therefore the only way of conquering the external enemies forever, because we should bear in mind that it is our own internal enemies which create the external enemies. These inner enemies are ambition, anger, greed, false attachment, vanity and jealousy. It is this hexagon sitting inside us which makes a cat's paw (duping) of anything in the outer world in order to create enemies for us. Therefore if anybody wants to enjoy peace and happiness through victory over all enemies, then he should raid the very source of all physical enemies - the subtle hexagon living in us. Destruction of enemies by root is not possible without breaking up this hexagon (ambition, anger, greed, false attachment, vanity and jealousy). This is axiomatic.

"Be without the three Gunas"

'Established in Yoga, O winner of wealth, perform actions….' In thesetwo verses, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, brings out the technique of TranscendentalMeditation for Self-realization.'Lord Krishna commands Arjuna,"Be without the three gunas"—be without activity, be your Self. This is resolute consciousness, the state ofabsolute Being, which is the ultimate cause of all causes. This state of consciousness brings harmony to the whole field of cause and effectand glorifies all life.'Maharishi goes on to describe Arjuna's condition, being faced with theconflicting emotions of love for his kinsmen and also his desire touphold righteousness and root out evil. Maharishi describes Lord Krishna's advice to transcend the field of multiplicity and experienceUnity, the Self, Transcendental Consciousness.Maharishi: 'Arjuna has a deep belief in dharma; his mind is clear about considerations of right and wrong. But the Lord asks him toabandon the whole field of right and wrong for the field of theTranscendent. There, established in a state beyond all duality, beyondthe influence of right and wrong, he will enjoy the absolute wisdom oflife, from which springs all knowledge of the relative world. And theLord says to Arjuna, "The field of that absolute wisdom is not outsideyou. You have not to go out anywhere to acquire it. It is within you.You have only to be within yourself, 'possessed of the Self', everfirm in purity of your Being."'From this experience of one's Self, verse 48 then instructs one to actfrom this Transcendental, Absolute foundation of life, 'Established inYoga, O winner of wealth, perform actions….' Maharishi explains thatthis is the state in which Transcendental Consciousness is stabilized, maintained all the time—enjoyed in activity and also in sleep.Maharishi: 'Yoga, or Union of the mind with the divine intelligence, begins when the mind gains Transcendental Consciousness; Yoga achievesmaturity when this Transcendental bliss-consciousness, or divineBeing, has gained ground in the mind to such an extent that, inwhatever state the mind finds itself, whether waking or sleeping, itremains established in the state of Being. It is to this state ofperfect enlightenment that the Lord refers in the beginning of theverse when He says: "Established in Yoga".'Maharishi continues, describing this state of bliss consciousness, where one perceives and lives Unity in the midst of diversity.Maharishi: 'The regular practice of Transcendental Meditation is thedirect way of rising to the state of Transcendental Being andstablilizing it in the very nature of the mind, so that irrespectiveof the mind's engagements in the conflicts inherent in the diversitiesof life, the structure of Unity in eternal freedom is naturallymaintained and life is not lost to itself.'

"Mahavathar Babaji - The Wandering Soul"

Dr Ram Bhosle, a ageing healer, a discliple of Mahavathar Babaji, who lives and works in Mumbai. He is a world-renowned massage therapist who has treated illustrious patients like Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, among others. He has witnessed almost the entire 20th century, traveling abroad 160 times. A freedom fighter, he had several arrest warrants issued against him by the British during Mahatma Gandhi's Quit India Movement and was forced to flee to the Himalayas. His escape route cut a long swathe across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Saurashtra, Sindh, Baluchistan, Afghanistan and the Hindu Kush mountains, before he finally reached the Himalayas.

In the 1950s, Babaji had set up an ashram in the Himalayan heights above Badrinath. He eventually closed it down. A true wanderer, he is not to be found in any one place, whether in the Himalayas or elsewhere. Yet he is very much amongst us, in Mumbai or Delhi, as much as he is in Badrikashram. He encourages disciples to strive for their highest destiny. Neither God nor an angel, Babaji is more like the atmik guru, or the inner light.
Dr Bhosle sounds a note of caution—the masters are suprahuman, beyond the frailties of emotion, and they demand total commitment to the chosen path. It is of greatest importance to follow the light with determination, discernment and detachment. The wise doctor concludes: "There is no such thing in this world as miracles. Everything happens through science. Only a person who doesn't understand science calls it a miracle."

"Invincible Defense Technology"

The Invincible Defense Technology is a proven, practical approach to world peace and national invincibility—an approach validated by more than 50 replications and 23 studies published in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals. It is a direct technological application of the most advanced discoveries in the fields of quantum mechanics, neuroscience, and human consciousness.
The approach calls for the immediate establishment of large national groups of peace-creating experts practicing specific “technologies of consciousness” that have been scientifically shown to neutralize acute ethnic, political, and religious tensions that fuel violence, terrorism, and social conflict. By defusing tensions and neutralizing animosity, this field-tested approach will immediately:
Defuse enmity in a potential adversary, thus preventing the birth of an enemy and the onset of war
Create coherent and harmonious national consciousness, strengthening the nation against any potentially disruptive influences from outside or within
Create a peaceful and cooperative global environment, conducive to the formation of stable governments and the cessation of hostilities in regional hot spots
Ensure lasting peace, security, and economic stability at home, relieving tremendous pressure on governmental departments and institutions charged with public safety and homeland security
The Invincible Defense Technology is the only approach that effectively targets the root cause of national, regional, and global conflict. It is the only approach to national security and world peace that is extensively field tested and backed by rigorous scientific research.
This Unified Field-based approach to defense generates a palpable, measurable effect of peace that creates a fertile environment in which diplomatic and other conventional approaches can actually succeed. It should be the central component of any comprehensive approach to peace and national security.

"Can we permanently stop terrorism and war?"

If 50 demonstration projects and 23 published scientific studies can be believed, the answer is Yes.

A group of few peace-creating experts were the only requisites.

This discovery is to all who love peace—and to all who wish to protect their nations against terrorism and war. Knowledge is power. The experiment is proven by the practicers of Transcendental Meditation.

To attain Transcendental Consciousness, each peace-creating expert is experienced in transcending—allowing the mind to settle down deep inside. The awareness becomes increasingly quiet—experiencing thought at increasingly subtle levels—until at last the mind transcends thought altogether. It remains wide-awake, but undisturbed by even the faintest activity of thought. This is a state of restful alertness, of inner peace—the experience of Transcendental Consciousness.

In the Vedic science of consciousness, the experience of Transcendental Consciousness is said to be profound. It allows the mind to experience the deepest level of its own intelligence, which is described as the deepest level of the intelligence displayed everywhere in nature—the unified field of all the laws of nature. The technology of transcending thus allows the individual mind to align itself with all the laws of nature at their source.

The goal is to empower people everywhere with knowledge that can be used to create peace worldwide—timeless knowledge about the power of consciousness as brought to light by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and validated thoroughly in scientific research.

This newly verified technology makes use of large groups of peace-creating experts. The inner peace generated by such a peace-creating group radiates into society as an influence of harmony and coherence. The effect can be easily measured as reduced crime, terrorism and war.

"Know about Advaitam"

The term Vedanta literally means, the end portion of Vedas. That means, these texts generally come at the end of the Samhita or Brahmana portion of the Veda sakhas. Vedantic texts are also called Upanishads. Upanishad literally means the knowledge (and hence the book also) which takes oneself (upa) near to the Truth with (ni) all definiteness (Sad) to loosen and destroy the shackles of one’s bondage. This, “treating a portion differently” is necessitated, because the first portion which is infact the major portion (which we call vedapurva) talks about deeds and rites, sacrifices and ceremonies for whom the qualified person adhikari, the result, etc are totally different. Those who have gone through the first portion that is to say, those who have led a life as detailed in that portion are eligible for the second portion, which talks about the absolute. It means that the truth revealed would be meaningful only to them. Thus within a single text, we are able to see the first portion as a means and the last portion as the end. It is very natural that the end portion need not be elaborate and the means portion cannot be brief. The Upanishads generally use negative words such as advaitam, anantam, avyavaharyam, alakshanam, acintyam etc. to mean the absolute. But the word “advaitam” has become a bitter pill for the acharyas of other schools of thought. And also, it is improper to consider advaitam as yet another school of thought. Advaitam is the nature of the absolute being as the Vedas reveal.

"Void Of Nothingness"

Perhaps when Sakyamuni or Gautama the Buddha said that there is total extinction of all phenomenal traits -- the blowing out into complete nothingness at the very grossest state, it could mean that when there is a tremendous gravitational urge in the cosmos.

The atoms themselves, due to the intense unimaginable gravity are pushed out of existence. Science is now proving it. This is the paradigm shift where the last quark atom is split up into electrons, protons, neutrons, lifetrons, positrons, and thoughtrons. I further go and say that God thought is subtler than that, to shut the scientists up, because ultimately there can be nothing subtler than God thought. God thought was the thought of all thought and so minute, uniform and subtle were it in it's smallness of being that it was the vastidity of creation. That's how mad it gets. All scientists, quantum and cosmological, speak of this paradox. They have to speak in paradoxes. Absolute light is total darkness. Total darkness is absolute light. If there is a blinding flash you get total darkness. So this pushing out of the atoms by the intense force of gravity is taking the quantum leap -- the paradigm shift from something to the nothing. Still nothing can ever come back to something but nevertheless the nothing is always producing the something. Have you got me clear?

Just understand it at an intellectual level because it is too awesome a concept. God is too awesome a concept to understand and realize.

- Swami Gurunath
